On 11th August, 2012 Postal Circles of J&K, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Harayana had announced the Recruitment of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants.In this post, we will discuss the Details about the Tamil Nadu Postal Circle Recruitment 2012 in which the Department has invited applications for 621 vacancies.

The total number of vacancies that advertised by the Tamil Nadu Postal Circle in 621.Here is the Post-wise break up of these vacancies
1. Postal Assistant: 415 posts
2. Postal Assistant: (SBCO): 109
3. Sorting Assistant: 88 posts
4. Postal Assistant (Mail Motor Service): 03 posts
5. Postal Assistant (Foreign Post Organisation): 05 posts
6.Postal Assistant (Returned Letter Office): 01 post

Selection Procedure : The Selection Procedure for the Recruitment of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants shall consist of a Written test followed by Typing test or Computer test
Who can apply for Tamil Nadu Postal Circle Recruitment 2012 ?
In order to apply for the posts mentioned above, you are required to satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria
Age Limit : 18 to 27 years
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 12th Class (10 + 2) pass with at least 60 % marks from any recognised University or Board in India.Apart from this, candidates must have the Knowledge of the Local Language of the State
Candidates must have studied Hindi as a subject up to the Matriculation level
How to Apply ?
Interested candidates who meet the above mentioned eligibility criteria are required to submit their applications on the Prescribed Format. The Applications can be obtained from the Head Post Officer and the some other post offices of concerned circle.Candidates are required to obtain Fee Payment Receipt of ACG-67/UCR from the concerned post office on Payment of examination fee.
The prescribed application form is to be filled according to the instructions given in the Information Broucher and the same is to be sent to "Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi-1100010″ on or before 01-10-2012 through Speed Post/Registered Post of India Post only.
